Do Any of These Sound Familiar?

I know plenty of words, but struggle to use them in conversation.

I get nervous speaking to people from overseas—even familiar words disappear.

I don't know how to make small talk or keep a conversation going.

I can manage with a script, but get stuck responding on the spot.

I understand English news, but struggle to explain my views.

I have ideas to contribute at work, but my English doesn't fully express them.

I've tried different learning methods, but still haven't found an approach that suits me.

You may benefit from a clearer direction, specific feedback and a space where you feel comfortable trying, making mistakes and gradually building confidence.

About Me

微信图片_20260915111954_13_498.jpg

I'm Jessamine. I once did well in English academically but struggled to speak. I understand the anxiety and frustration of having something to say but not being able to express it.

I spent seven years studying in Denmark, the UK and the US on full scholarships and hold a master's degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Shortly after graduating, I was one of approximately 20 candidates selected from 2,000 applicants for a major Hong Kong company's management trainee programme.

I have taught in schools and tertiary institutions, covering interview skills, everyday English, and preparation for migration and further study. My students range from children and teenagers to adults, including middle and senior managers.

Drawing on psychological knowledge and teaching experience, I tailor lessons to each student's level and needs, helping them build the confidence to speak and express their thoughts more clearly.

Two Directions, Tailored to You

You do not need to decide on lesson content before reaching out. If you would like regular practice, we can also discuss ongoing lessons. Lessons can follow two main directions, adapted to your age, level and needs.

Direction ①

Everyday English

Communication You Can Use

From small talk, travel and dining to social situations and everyday conversations at work, practise starting conversations, responding, asking questions and expressing your thoughts.

Through practical scenarios, build useful vocabulary and expressions, rely less on scripts and develop confidence in responding spontaneously.

Direction ②

Society & Current Affairs

Express Your Ideas in Greater Depth

Use social issues and current affairs as starting points for discussion. Practise summarising key points, sharing opinions, explaining your reasoning and responding to different perspectives.

This approach suits students with an existing foundation who want to expand their vocabulary and express themselves more clearly and coherently. Topics are selected according to age, interests and level.

04

A Focus on Practical Communication

Personalized One-to-One English Lessons

These one-to-one lessons focus on English you can use in everyday life. They are not designed as a dedicated exam preparation course.

If you have a specific speaking goal—such as interviews, workplace communication, or preparing for life or study abroad—please share it in the enquiry form. We can then discuss whether the lessons would be a suitable fit and how they could be structured.
